  • Utilita Girls Cup 2024

    Well done to our to Year 7/8 girls who represented St Julian's at the Utilita Girls Cup this past week. Competing against other local schools in a 7-side tournament, the girls eased through the group stage, winning three games and drawing one, whilst scoring ten goals without conceding any. They then went on to the semi-final where they comfortably beat Croesyceiliog 2-0, before rounding off the day with a final victory over St Albans 2-0 to be crowned the winners of the tournament.

    The girls will now have the opportunity to represent Newport County in the new year against other Welsh schools, as well as schools from the South West of England who will also represent EFL clubs such as Swansea City, Cardiff City and Bristol City.

  • Year 11 Pathways Evening - Thursday 21st November

    Our Year 11 Pathways Evening, showcasing the A Level and BTEC courses we offer at Post 16, will take place on Thursday 21st November at 5pm.

    Students and families will have the opportunity to meet with department staff to discuss courses and Post 16 options.

  • Year 11 Progress Evening - Thursday 7th November 2024

    We would like to invite you to the Year 11 Progress Evening on Thursday 7th November which will be held in the School Hall. Progress Evenings provide important opportunities for teachers and parents/carers to discuss the progress of students, share information and consider plans for the future. During the evening you will be able to discuss progress with your child’s subject teachers.
    An appointment system will operate with appointments lasting 5 minutes. The evening will run from 3.15pm to 6.15pm. In order to help the evening run as smoothly as possible, please ensure your child makes appointments with subject teachers by completing the appointment sheet.

  • Cultural Day - Friday 25th October

    On Friday 25th October, we have our Cultural Day. A day when we will celebrate the rich diversity of our school. 

    At St Julian's School we have 56 different ethnicities and 52 different languages spoken. 

    Cultural Day is a non-uniform day when students can come to school wearing their national dress or cultural clothing. Children can wear non-uniform to school if they do not have an item of cultural clothing/national dress.

  • Year 6 Open Evening - Thursday 26th September

    Each year, we hold an Open Evening for potential Year 7 students and their families to attend.

    The evening is one of our favourite events on the school calendar as it allows us to showcase why our school is an excellent choice for students in our catchment and beyond.

    This evening is a great opportunity for Year 6 students to visit the school, where they can take a tour, meet many of our teaching staff, and hear about life at St Julian's School.
